There a several definitions of summer.

The most common one is this: the season between spring and autumn comprising in the northern hemisphere usually the months of June, July, and August, or as reckoned astronomically extending from the June solstice to the September equinox. Because of leap years, the dates of the equinoxes and solstices can shift by a day or two over time, causing the starting dates of the seasons to shift too.

Global climate change. 

The global climate change we are facing is bringing a change to the weather conditions we used to know. It can be 30 degrees in April and 10 degrees in July. We’re facing unnatural phenomenon like floodings in high summer last year, or Saharan winds this year before we even reached spring.
